Duty Managers Course – Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)

The Duty Managers / Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) is the course that teaches you all the in's and outs of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. Our highly knowledgeable trainers deliver the course with high energy and not straight out of the book like others. Our trainers not only teach you the laws but also pass on their personal hospitality experience and top tips for running a responsible licensed establishment. On completion of the LCQ Course you can then apply for your General Manager's Certificate with the District Licensing Committee ( Local Council ). After a successful short interview at the council they will issue you with your General Manager's Certificate - Job Done.

Basic Food Hygiene

The Basic Food Hygiene course covers the theory content of the NZQA qualification 167. The course covers the basic understanding of practices that result in safe food and gains you a Basic Food Hygiene certificate. The council requires establishments to have people working in commercial kitchens who have gained the certificate. Preparing to work in a kitchen, preparing food, handling food or supervising the preparation and/or serving of food. The course provides thorough training on maintaining effective personal hygiene when working with food, how to prevent cross contamination and the important task of measuring and recording temperatures of high risk food and equipment.

Advanced Food Hygiene

The advanced Food Hygiene course is the theory based NZQA unit standard 168. It is the next step after Basic Food Hygiene to further your knowledge of food safety in a food business. The course enables people who take it to demonstrate knowledge of hazards that cause food borne illness and food spoilage, and of food methods used to control hazards that cause food borne illness and food spoilage in a food business and/or commercial kitchen.
